Categories enable you to segment your freelancers & vendors according to your needs. They are completely customisable. Some examples of how they’re used include categories for prospective vs. existing freelancers: ‘Prospective Illustrators’, by role eg. ‘Designers’, or by geography eg. ‘London’.
Add new Categories: To add new categories, click 'Categories' at the top of the screen. From there, click the '+' icon next to the 'Categories' header, name the category and click create. You can create an unlimited number of categories.
Assign a freelancer to a Category: If you'd like to assign freelancers/vendors to a category on an ad hoc basis, then click on the profile of the freelancer/vendor you'd like to add. Next to their name you'll see 3 vertical dots (), click this icon and it'll bring down a list of selections. Choose categories, and from there you can assign and remove suppliers from categories. You can also create new categories by clicking on the '+' icon.
Bulk Upload into Categories: When initially onboarding freelancers/vendors, you can give us the categories you want each freelancer to be part of, and we can make sure they are automatically added to those categories when uploaded to the platform.
Adding new freelancers into Categories: When adding a new freelancer yourself, you can choose a category for them to be submitted into as they are onboarded. If you don’t choose a category, they will exist in the index but without any specific category.
